1c Blue, Ty. II (7). Position 6L4, huge margins all around including part of sheet margin at top, deep rich color on bright paper, neat strike of "Boston Paid 29 Oct." circular datestamp, trivial corner crease at top right visible only on fluid (easily trimmed)EXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL USED EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-CENT TYPE II FROM THE TOP ROW OF PLATE 4.
Top row stamps from Plate 4 are notable because they show the entire design complete at top. This stamp, with the cancel clear of that part of the design and clearly showing this characteristic, is a wonderful example.
