II (9, 11A). 1c Position 60L1L, recut twice at top, once at bottom (only four such recuts on plate), clear to ample margins, used with 3c single and pair, ample margins to slightly in, tied by double "bounced" strike of "San Francisco Cal. 5 Nov." circular datestamp on buff cover to Boston Mass. ("U.S.A." indicating origin outside the country), lightly inked but mostly clear strike of red "C. H. Leland & Co. Post Office Arcade, San Francisco" ornately-framed handstamp, cleaned and edges slightly improved, Fine appearance, Leland was a mail-bag operator in San Francisco -- this Leland marking is extremely rare
