1c Blue, Ty. IV (9). Horizontal strip of three, each recut once at top and bottom, full to large margins, tied by light strikes of "Westtown Pa. Jan. ?" circular datestamp and used with Westtown Pa. (2c) Gold (145L1), uncancelled as usual, to Philadelphia, Very Fine, from the well-known Cope correspondence, Edward Drinker Cope (1840-1897) was the son of Alfred and Hannah (Edge) Cope, he attended Westtown School at this time
