Sale 998, Lot 270, Plate One Late On Cover1c Blue, Ty. IV (9). Position 68L1L, recut once at top and bottom, full margins to just clear at bottom, tied by "Troy N.Y. Apr. 25" circular datestamp on small drop-rate cover, turned and used a second time to Cambridge Mass., second use franked with 1857 3c Ty. I (25), tied by "Troy N.Y. Paid Nov. 10, 1857" circular datestamp with second strike to left which can be seen through the cover on the local usage side, bottom flap with tear from opening, Very Fine and most interesting, turned covers are not particularly rare, but it is unusual to see one with two different denomination stamps paying different rates, this cover is also enhanced by the time difference between the two uses, allowing for the use of both an 1851 1c Imperforate and an 1857 3c Perforated
