"Mint" card, reasonably well-executed but would not fool an informed Postal Card collector, some corner creases and small tear, otherwise Very Fine, extremely rare, Louis Smith of Chicago Ill., who also coated genuine cards as a legitimate business, was convicted of forgery in 1902
