10c Black, Double Transfer Ty. A (2-A). Position 1R1, showing clear double transfer in "X" at lower right and also in virtually all letters at top, full margins, bright shade, neat strike of red grid cancelA VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH TYPE A DOUBLE TRANSFER.
This must be a very early impression, because the double transfer is so prominent. With 1991 P.F. certificate not mentioning the double transfer. Also accompanied by plating diagram showing the double transfer.
