1916-1917, Official Seals, Black on Pink and White (OX17-OX18). 12 covers on exhibit pages, five of former, seven of latter, range of usages and frankings, both U.S. and foreign, highlights include Black on Pink (OX17) used on registered 2c entire with additional two-color franking from Palo Alto Cal. to Russia shortly after abdication of Tsar Nicholas II, censored by both U.S. and Russia and returned to addressee, also single Black (OX18) used on cover with seven stamp two-color franking from Vladivostock to Brookline Mass., censored by Russia, opened upon arrival in US and resealed, possible philatelic usage on cover (OX18) to stamp dealer Hiram Deats, finally, an interesting cover (OX18) on which sender typed "Please do not cancel in Machine!", obviously ignored as the mutilation from the cancelling machine took seven seals to repair, several other better, fascinating group
