Large part original gum, large to huge margins all around, intense shade and impression, P.S.E. capsule notes "light gum crease" which is natural and typical of 1847's with original gumEXTREMELY FINE. A RARE FOUR-MARGIN ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1847 ISSUE. THIS STAMP HAS THE HIGHEST P.S.E. GRADE AWARDED TO A 10-CENT 1847 WITH ORIGINAL GUM.
P.S.E. encapsulated (VF-XF 85; SMQ $70,000.00). It is important to note that this stamp still graded very highly despite the light natural gum crease. This is the highest grade awarded to date and the only example to achieve this grade.
