Choice centering, cancelled by well-struck Bald Mustachioed Man's Head fancy cancel, Extremely Fine strike of this unusual fancy cancel, we have no information on the town origin of this remarkable cancel -- the skillful carving could be the work of Waterbury postmaster John Hill -- but it appears to be genuine and dates back to the Knapp sale where it was acquired by the owner
