3c Scarlet (74). Slightly mount-disturbed original gum, brilliant color on bright paper, choice centering with well-proportioned marginsEXTREMELY FINE. A SCARCE CENTERED ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT SCARLET.
Many examples of this stamp without pen marks have either somewhat faded color or poor centering. This example features intense color and choice centering.
