American Letter Mail Co., 5c Black, Large Die Proof on India (5L1P1). 47 x 67mm with full die sinkage, fresh and Very Fine, unlisted in Scott , the eagle die was originally engraved by Durand, Perkins & Co. and later incorporated by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson into the American Letter Mail Co. stamp of 1844 -- similar to an example offered in our 1997 Rarities sale (which showed the die number)
