1913, 1p Carmine, Vertical Pair, Imperf Vertically (17a; SG 17ca). Mint NH block of four (two error pairs), fresh and well-centeredVERY FINE. A LOVELY EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE PERFORATION ERROR. ESPECIALLY RARE AS A BLOCK OF FOUR CONTAINING TWO EXAMPLES OF THE ERROR.
The ACSC notes that two sheets had a line of perfs omitted between the 3rd and 4th horizontal rows. Only one other block of four is recorded, in the archives of the Australia Post.
