10c Ultramarine, Special Delivery (E6). Mint N.H., enormous margins all around incl. plate no. at top, brilliant color, absolutely pristine gumEXTREMELY FINE. THIS GORGEOUS MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF SCOTT E6 STANDS ALONE AS THE HIGHEST-RATED EXAMPLE CERTIFIED TO DATE BY PROFESSIONAL STAMP EXPERTS.
It is extremely rare to find the 1902 Special Delivery with such large margins. The plate layout placed the stamps closely together. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing rectified this problem with the 1911 printing of Scott No. E8, when they created a new plate on which the stamps were spaced further apart.
With 1984 and 1999 P.F. certificates. With 2004 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90 Jumbo; SMQ $750.00 as 90, $1,450.00 as 95)
