EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT TYPE II 1898 BUREAU ISSUE.

Many stamps with selvage tend to be slightly off to the other side, so that the selvage will compensate for centering. This is not the case with the stamp offered here. Even if the selvage were removed, this stamp would maintain its appearance of perfect centering.
