5c Buff (67). Lovely color, well-balanced margins, clear strike of San Francisco cogwheel cancel
EXTREMELY FINE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1861 BUFF with a LIGHTLY STRUCK SAN FRANCISCO COGWHEEL CANCEL.
Due to narrow spacing on the 5c plate, it is very difficult to find centered copies with the perforations clear of the design on all sides.
Ex Kirke. With 2003 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (latter XF 90). Only eight grade higher (all at 95).
