Hale aboard the steamship China in Honolulu Harbor, manuscript "Please forward collect. Have no Hawaiian Stamps," San Francisco transit and Denver receiving backstamps, nicked at top from opening, still Very Fine, the Hawaiian government allowed soldiers en-route to the Philippines to send letters home with the postage paid by Official stamps
