10c Rose (5). Position 45, White Arrow variety, large to huge margins, bright shade, tied by "Mount Mourne N.C. Aug. 7" (1862) circular datestamp on small cover neatly addressed to "Capt. B. F. Little, Co. E 52 Reg't N.C. Troops, Martin's Brigade, Proctors Creek, Chesterfield Co. Virginia, Care of Col. Marshall", envelope with wavy-line watermark creates an attractive effect, small ink smears and missing most of backflap, Extremely Fine, an beautiful 10c Rose cover from the Little correspondence, see Sale 988, lot 2844, for a history of Benjamin Franklin Little, ex Haas, Judd and Walske
