5c Blue, Stone 2 (4). Tied by bold strike of "Richmond Va. Jun. 4, 1862" circular datestamp on oatmeal cover, written in the hand of Brigadier General Joseph Reid Anderson to his wife in Mount Joy Va., stamp with small nick at right, still Very Fine, accompanied by a bio of General Anderson, who in addition to serving the Confederacy as a general was the owner of the Tredegar Iron Company, the South's largest and most significant iron works and a vital source of munitions and ordnance for the Army
