Sale 1291, Lot 49, Florida Postal History: Territorial Period (A-Q)"Columbus E.F." (1844). Two folded covers, each with manuscript postmark, one dated Nov. 2, 1844 and rated "18-3/4" to Tallahassee, trace of red circular datestamp at top with "DEC" (probably an advertising mark), second dated Dec. 28 (1844) to Tallahassee and rated "12-1/2" for twice the scarce 6-1/4c rate, some overall toning, otherwise Very Fine and attractive set of covers, only four are recorded and these are the earliest and latest listed, ASCC value $850.00
