Fernandina Fla. Jun. 3 (1861). Bold strike of circular datestamp with matching "PAID/5" handstamp on cover to Charleston S.C., few edge flaws with top flap replaced and barely reduced at bottom, still Very Fine strike, Fernandina, which is close to the Georgia border, was captured by Union forces in March 1862, very few handstamped Paids are known, ex Kohn and Gallagher
