Manuscript postmark with matching "Due 10" on 28th Georgia Regiment soldier's cover to Berzelia Ga., Very Fine and scarce, Georgia troops, including the 28th Regiment, fought under District of East Florida Brigade Commander General Alfred H. Colquitt at the Battle of Olustee on Feb. 20, 1864, which was a Confederate victory and the only major Florida battle of the Civil War, the 28th Georgia Regiment was stationed at Baldwin before leaving for Virginia
