Sale 1291, Lot 435, Florida in the Civil War: Independent & C.S.A. Uses"Miccosukee Fla. May 7th" (1861). Manuscript postmark with similar cancel on gray folded letter with 3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26) to Clinton N.C., stamp with light corner crease, Very Fine and scarce Confederate State use, one of three covers known from here with U.S. franking (none are known with C.S.A. stamps), illustrated in Briggs book on p. 155.
