Sale 1291, Lot 43, Florida Postal History: Territorial Period (A-Q)"Bailey's Mills Flo. April 25th" (1832). Clear manuscript postmark with "6-1/4" rate on 1832 folded letter to Tallahassee, fresh and Very Fine, one of only three territorial uses from Bailey's Mills, the established rate for distances under 30 miles was 30c, the unusual 6-1/4c charge was based on circulating specie, banknotes and scrip of the time, ASCC notes that covers with this rate deserve a premium valuation, ASCC value with no premium $400.00
