San Francisco Dec. 2, 1869" forwarder's backstamp, sender's directive "p Pacific Mail", cleaned to remove some gum stains, still Extremely Fine, this was carried outside the mails to a San Francisco forwarder and sent by Pacific Mail Steamship Co. contract sailing to Japan (probably the China, arriving Yokohama Jan. 31, 1870), ex Wunsch and Coulter
