Jul. 25" (1857) circular datestamp on folded printed 7-page announcement for Castleton Medical College dated 1857 to Johnson Vt., manuscript "Recd. July 26th 1857 Prof. Woodard", refolded at right, some soiling and erosion spots, stamp with diagonal crease, otherwise Fine, this is the earliest documented use of Scott 23, with 2023 A.P.S. certificate noting the stamp is the "split top line variety" and "rusty plate variety"
