Aug. 2" circular datestamp on cover to the master of the ship Nautilus at Paita, Peru, red "12" credit handstamp, cover with closed tear at top not affecting stamps, missing backflapVERY FINE AND RARE USE OF THE 12-CENT AND 10-CENT 1851-55 ISSUES ON A COVER TO PERU. COVERS TO SOUTH AMERICA WITH CLASSIC IMPERFORATE ISSUES ARE EXTREMELY RARE.
There are reported to be only six 1851 Issue covers to Peru. Ex Giamporcaro ("Tito"), Hackmey and Eubanks. With 1999 P.F. certificate
