1c-3c 1851 Issue, New York Bar Circular Datestamps. Study collection of approximately 30 stamps both on and off cover, 16 are Nos. 10-10A with the scarce integral single bar grid in circular datestamp used between Aug. 12-27, 1851, the majority of these are on covers, nine different dates included, the rest of the collection shows other bar varieties (2-4 bars) on 1c and 3c 1851 stamps, many of these also on covers, some typical small faults but overall decent condition and a rare assemblage, particularly with the large number of the experimental 1851 single bar circular datestamp
