Sale 1291, Lot 174, 1847 Issue10c Black (2). Full margins, intense shade, cancelled by grid with matching "Jacksonville Ill. Dec 26" (1849) circular datestamp on Christmas Day folded letter to Medina Court House O., small cover mend at top is inconsequential, Extremely Fine and beautiful cover, Jacksonville received only 300 10c stamps, the USPCS census lists only two 10c covers known (the other does not have an image and presumably has not been seen for a long time), P.F. certificate no. 27539 no longer accompanies
