3c Red on White entire, Die 3 (U5; UPSS 8). Size 7, knife 20, watermark 1, UPSS Type 1 die, cancelled by "Pottsville Pa. Jun. 5" circular datestamp and addressed to Philadelphia, Very Fine, the UPSS Catalog records only two mint examples of No. 8 (Scott U5), both with faults, we offered one in our first Venn sale (Sale 1267, lot 2505), unlike most other issues, UPSS No. 8 is the only number under the Scott U5 umbrella
