EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1908 ISSUE WITH SCHERMACK TYPE II PERFORATIONS.

The 5c Blue (315) with Schermack Type II perforations, produced at the request of collectors, is one of the rarest of all vending and affixing machine varieties. A review of The Philatelic Foundation records and auction catalogue listings located approximately six pairs and two guide line pairs. Singles are also rare.

Purple backstamp. With 2014 P.F. certificate. Unpriced in Scott as a single. Scott value as a pair $11,500.00.
