(1876) circular datestamp on blue cover with "Centennial Committee, American Institute of Mining Engineers" corner card to Japan, addressed to Benjamin Smith Lyman at "Journin, Daimon, Shiba, Yedo, Japan", red "Yokohama Paid All Apr. 22" double-circle datestamp, Japanese character double-circle datestamp, Japanese writing on back for internal forwarding, Very Fine, a colorful cover and rare franking for the short-lived 12c rate to Japan, which was in effect from January to March 1876, from the Magnolia collection, ex Albert and Landau, with 1979 P.F. certificate
