Two, tied by "New York Reg." oval cancels on 2c Violet, Columbian entire (U349) with lumber company corner card to Detroit Mich., registry label affixed at lower left with magenta "Gen. P.O. New York, N.Y. Registered Dec. 2, 1907" double-circle datestamp, no. 8122 handstamp, slightly reduced at left, file folds, right stamp with light crease, Very Fine use of this Form 1549A label, this was a combination gummed registration label and receipt, tested during the 1907 Christmas season, it was intended to permit faster acceptance of matter presented for registration
