VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A VERY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1917 3-CENT PERF 10 AT TOP OR BOTTOM. ONE OF TEN EXAMPLES WE RECORD IN OUR CENSUS, AND THE ONLY SINGLE WITHOUT A PRECANCEL.

Our census of Scott 502e, available at https://siegelauctions.com/census/us/scott/502e , contains only ten examples, two of which are part of a block of three stamps with a smudgy handstamp cancel (ex Zoellner and Natalee Grace). This is the only other example in our census which lacks a precancel.
