EXTREMELY FINE. A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT TREASURY DEPARTMENT SPECIAL PRINTING. ALMOST CERTAINLY THE FINEST EXTANT.

Only 84 were sold and this is easily the finest example we have encountered. Even the voluminous Mooz collection, with many examples, did not contain a stamp comparable to this.
