VERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THIS EXTREMELY RARE ISSUE. STAMPS PURPORTED TO BE THE 90-CENT TREASURY AMERICAN BANK NOTE CO. PRINTING ON SOFT PAPER ARE ALMOST ALWAYS MISCLASSIFIED CONTINENTAL PRINTINGS ON INTERMEDIATE PAPER.

This stamp has the true color and soft mesh paper of the American Bank Note Company printing. It is very difficult to obtain with any kind of decent centering. The last example we offered with comparable centering was in 2015. P.S.E. has never graded an original-gum example. P.F. has graded only one, at 70.
