Position 92R2E, margins all around to just touching at lower right, rich color, cancelled by bold strike of blue "Way 6" in circle on Sep. 6, 1851 folded letter from Richmond to Lynchburg Va., central file fold, Very Fine, this marking for the 5c collect fee plus 1c way fee was originally applied to stampless covers and was obsolete when struck on stamped covers such as this, it was applied to mail travelling on the James River & Kanawha Canal, ex Wagshal, accompanied by small piece with clear strike of the "Way 6" marking in black, also accompanied by 3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A), margins to in, tied by blue Richmond Va. circular datestamp with manuscript "pr packet boat via Cartersville" to Caira Va. and carried a Kanawha Canal packet boat
