Nathaniel Lyon. First Union general to be killed in action in the Civil War, two letters signed by Captain Lyon on Oct. 20, 1855 and Oct. 3, 1856, addressed to Col. Craig, U.S. Army Chief of Ordnance in Washington D.C., detailing the return of ordnance, one with slightly toned fold, Very Fine, accompanied by four engravings of General Lyon, including two at the Battle of Wilson's Creek where he was killed, also accompanied by a ribbon commemorating the "Reunion of the 15th Mo. Infentry (sic) Oct. 3, 1900 St. Louis"
