3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Bright color, corner torn at top left probably prior to use, tied by light strike of "Vicksburg Miss. ? 20" circular datestamp on green overall "Dew Drop and Roebuck Vicksburg & Greenwood Mail Packets" illustrated advertising cover to Carroll Hoy in New Orleans, also with clear strike of "Charmer & Dewdrop" oval handstamp, likely used between Nov. 1860 and Apr. 1861 (when Parisot and Dent owned the Dew Drop), usual small filing holes as seen in this correspondence, Very Fine, very rare, this is reported to be the only recorded example of a name-of-boat marking on a name-of-boat envelope from this time period, ex Dr. Chase and Warm, illustrated in Klein and Milgram
