1c Blue, Ty. II (20). Plate 2, tied by strike of "Castleton Vt. Jul. 25" circular datestamp on folded printed 7-page announcement for Castleton Medical College dated 1857 to Johnson Vt., manuscript "Recd. July 26th 1857 Prof. Woodard", refolded at right, some soiling and erosion spots, stamp with diagonal crease, otherwise Fine, this is the earliest documented use of Scott 20, there is a circular known dated two days earlier but it does not have a postmark so its date of use cannot be confirmed
