EXTREMELY FINE STRIKE OF THE RARE AND DESIRABLE DOG'S HEAD FANCY CANCEL OF WATERBURY, CONNECTICUT.

The last cover we offered was in our 1987 Rarities sale, used three days after the example offered here. The Henry Houser collection contained one used on January 17, 1866. The Haub collection contains a cover dated January 9, 1866 (ex Rohloff and Eubanks).
