$2.00 Deep Ultramarine, 1952 Hunting Permit, Large Die Proof on Wove (RW19P1). 88 x 77mm wove paper die sunk on 204 x 151mm card, vivid color and detailed impression, small "C" punch indentation at left of design, back with purple handstamped "Engraver's Stock Proof Authorized by." with initials, also with blue number 80557B.EXTREMELY FINE AND RARE LARGE DIE PROOF OF THE 1952 FEDERAL HUNTING PERMIT ISSUE, SCOTT RW19.
Federal Hunting Permit proofs are extremely rare in any form and for any issue. This is the only example we have offered of RW19P1. In fact, outside of this sale we have offered only two other large die proofs for any issue since at least 1993.
