EXTREMELY FINE AND EXCEPTIONALLY RARE SMALL DIE PROOF OF THE 1934 FIRST FEDERAL HUNTING PERMIT ISSUE, SCOTT RW1.

The Federal Hunting Permit small die proofs on wove are listed in Scott for the 1934 thru 1958 Issues (RW1P2-RW25P2). An example of each is contained in the Prager collection. It is believed that only one to three of each exist and a group was part of the Jeanette Rudy collection, which was gifted to the National Postal Museum.

Accompanied by a beautiful full-page colored remarque by famed wildlife artist Ron Jenkins (the artist for the 1965 issue, RW32), depicting ducks in similar orientations -- with central mount for the proof (see linked PDF). With 2008 P.F. certificate
