10c Black (2). Full to ample margins, cancelled by bold and clear strike of green circular datestamp, probably Tallahassee Fla.VERY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE SOUND EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH A CLEAR GREEN CANCEL.
The green ink used to cancel the stamp and postmark the letter is an unmistakable true green, not one of the impure greenish-blue green inks seen more frequently in this period.
With 1990 P.F. certificate. Scott assigns a $3,250.00 premium for a green cancel on the 10c 1847 Issue.
