Sale 1254, Lot 577, The Mulholland Collection of Specimens - Columbians thru Back-of-Book, Possessions50c 1902 Issue, 1c-5c Jamestown, "ULTRAMAR" Ovpt. (310S, 328S-330S). Including two of the 5c Jamestown, one 5c plus 50c 1902 original gum, others no gum, clear overprints on four, one 5c with light but evident overprint, Fine, the Portuguese Ministry for the Colonies applied the "Ultramar" overprint, meaning "overseas", upon receipt of the stamps from U.P.U. headquarters in Berne, between 1900 and 1910 the stamps were distributed to the various colonies with this overprint, with a few exceptions this was replaced with "Colonias" in 1911
