FINE APPEARING AND VERY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 90-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE WITH "SPECIMEN" OVERPRINT.

A Power Search review reveals how rare the 90c 1869 Pictorial is with any kind of "Specimen" overprint -- handstamped or manuscript. We have offered only two others in the past 30 years, both the Without Grill variety with manuscript overprint (one lightened). This is the only example of the handstamped Type A overprint we have encountered on the 90c.
