EXTREMELY FINE. THE UNIQUE EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1851 ISSUE WITH A "SPECIMEN" OVERPRINT. ONE OF THE GREAT RARITIES OF THE ISSUE.

For the 1851 Issue, only the 1c and 3c are known and listed with "Specimen" overprint. This is the only recorded example of the 3c and the 1c is also extremely rare, with the example offered in the previous lot the only one we have handled.
