EXTREMELY FINE. AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE PLATE NUMBER 22176 BLOCK OF TEN OF THE 20-CENT 1938 PRESIDENTIAL ISSUE. THIS IS PROBABLY THE RAREST 20TH CENTURY PLATE NUMBER.

Plate number 22176 is almost assuredly the rarest plate number in 20th Century U.S. philately, perhaps rivaled only by one of the 1954 8c Liberty combination plate blocks (Scott 1041).
