$3.00 1875 Issue, Large Die Trial Color Proofs on India (PR25TC1a). Six of the nine Scott-listed colors, printed on India paper and die sunk on cards, five cards are approximately 114 x 166mm, the Light Ultramarine on slightly smaller 83 x 106mm card, brilliant colors throughoutVERY FINE. A LIKELY UNIQUE SET OF LARGE DIE TRIAL COLOR PROOFS FOR THE $3.00 1875 NEWSPAPER ISSUE.
Each example of nearly all of these colors is believed to be unique. The National Postal Museum reportedly has a second example in Sepia. Scott value of $600.00 each seems very conservative for this level of rarity.
