Feb. 15" (1867) duplex datestamps and segmented cork cancels on buff cover to Rev. L. W. Kip in Amoy, China, sender's directive "Via Southampton", blurry red "N. York Am. Pkt. Paid Feb. 16" circular datestamp, red crayon "96" triple-rate credit--carried on Inman City of Baltimore, departing New York Feb. 16, 1867, arriving Queenstown Feb. 25--red "London Paid 27 FE 67" datestamp, red crayon "3" British Colonial credit, "Hong-Kong C AP 9 67" transit backstamp, 30c at right with small tear, cover has small corner mend, still Very Fine, Amoy is a rare destination and this triple 45c rate franking is spectacular, Rev. Leonard W. Kip served for 37 years as a missionary in Amoy, ex Brandebury, Krug, Shierson and "Patrick Henry"
