Horizontal pair, sheet margin at bottom, other sides large to touched at top left and into corner at top right, worn-plate impression, radiant color in the true Red Orange shade, which exactly matches the reference copy at The Philatelic Foundation (which also has the same Baltimore cancels), corner strike of blue Baltimore, Maryland circular datestamp and blurry central red cancel (probably numeral "5"), few tiny nicks in top margin and light horizontal crease in sheet margin

FINE APPEARANCE. ONE OF ONLY SIX RECORDED PAIRS OF THE 5-CENT 1847 ISSUE IN THE RED ORANGE SHADE AND THE ONLY EXAMPLE WITH A SHEET MARGIN. A WONDERFUL CLASSIC RARITY.
